Powder Coatings
A quality powder coating process typically involves the following basic steps:
Surface preparation: Removing prior coatings, cleaning preparing the surface.
Application: Using electrostatic spray to apply the powder. Powder can be applied in as few as one or many to achieve results. At this point a primer can be used to achieve improved results. The top most coat is then applied in many finishes, colors and sheens.
Curing: A typical cure will be 10 minutes at 400°F for a durable finish.
Media Blasting
We keep a 50-70 media profile loaded for our large item blasting. This selection of media will clean the part and provide the best profile for our process. We also make use of a large indoor blasting cabinet which we keep loaded with 80-100 aluminum oxide. A slightly finer finish while still providing and good profile.
